I received a DM about the BS ISO standards for diversity and inclusion, which nudged me to share the latest free Publicly Available Specification (PAS) for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace from BSI.

The PAS was published in June 2023 and is a fantastic starting point for those who want to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion across their organisation in a meaningful, non-tokenistic way.

The document shares practical guidance on developing and implementing an effective DEI framework in any workplace.

It covers things like:

Leadership buy-in
How to incorporate DEI principles in organisational policies and practices
Inclusive recruitment
Addressing inconsistent behaviours
Establishing effective learning and development needs
Understanding concepts such as cognitive diversity, intercultural competence and dimensions of diversity
The principles on how to incorporate inclusive innovation and inclusive design

The only thing I believe is missing is how to build effective communication. But that’s where my book Building a Culture of Inclusivity might be helpful ????.
